Members of KG Franzky assisted the Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa Canada with the unveiling of their latest, operational vehicle; a Jagdpanzer 38t “Hetzer”. Purchased from Poland by Museum President Al Duffy and donated to the Oshawa museum, this restored Hetzer was one of 150 built immediately post war from war time parts and sold to Switzerland as G13’s. It has several original parts, including it’s 6-cylinder gasoline engine coupled to a Praga-Wilson gearbox, which still retain their wartime Waffenamt acceptance markings. A great, operational addition to the museums growing stock of German vehicles. Check out their website for show dates!
http://www.ontrmuseum.ca/ Shots from the Youngstown, Ohio Battle for Nürnberg are up. The battles there continue to be some of the most immersive in the country. KG members portrayed members of 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division Götz von Berlichingen in the last days of the war. Much thanks to Dietrich Ziegler for the pics!
Members of Kampfgruppe Franzky attended the Ontario Regiment Museum’s “Aquino Tank Weekend” where they portrayed Panzerjagers and Panzergrenadiers from the Italian campaign. There were two public battles and an extensive display of Axis anti-armor weapons, and the event was visited by a crowd of over 6,000 people. Nice job, fellas!
Our Canadian brothers got to portray a Pz III crew recently at the Ontario Regiment Museum in Oshawa, ON. Well done, fellas!
